Candice McGowan, age 22, born November 4, 1979 in Fairbanks, Alaska and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Moved to the Seattle area in 1998 and then again in 2000. Currently residing in Issaquah where I attend Trinity Lutheran College and will graduate next year(June 2003), hopefully. I spend much of my time in the downtown Seattle area and recently started attending Immanuel Lutheran Church and taking new member classes.Step by step, slowly but surely, my life is moving from Anchorage, Alaska to Seattle. I've even gone so far as to get a Washington State ID card. Can't quite take the big step and get my liscence though LOL!

aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Down to the final countdown for school! Yay and Grr at the same time. I have way too much to get done and not nearly enough time to do it. Ah well. Thats the way it always goes, right? It will all get done in good time. This weekend will be difficult as well. I have a graduation and a funeral all in the same day. The graduation will be difficult because this is the year I should be graduating, and my class is graduating. The funeral will be difficult for obvious reasons. To top that off Im supposed to babysit that night and be in the middle of moving. LOL FUN! Tim is coming up to help me move the big stuf and make the move a little easier. On Friday, I want to go see Kidney Theives and KMFDM but It's my last night at work and Im not too clear on my money situation as of yet. Also, since Tim will be here to help out, I'm not sure if he wants to go, and I'm not just gonna leave him here. Also, there will be a second show, that Rick is "dragging" me to. lol He's not gonna have to drag really hard cuz I'm going willingly. Who knows?! I may end up at the Catwalk this weekend though.
Like I said, Friday is my last day of work at From the Heart. Kind of mixed feelings about that. My boss is having
surgery for breast cancer tomorrow morning, and I really hate to leave them in a bind but for my sanity and living situation, I had to leave.
I officially become a member of my church down here on June 9th! That's a big step for me. But a good one at that. I talked with my family today for a bit too. Let them know of changes to my life recently and such, as well as the phone number change. Got to talk to my brother, which I don't do very often. So It was good. They also told me that They gave me 125.00 for June rent :) My parents rock! They also told met that they'd pay for me to come home for a visit at some point this summer but with working on campus, Christy coming to visit, and confirmation camp, im not sure when that will happen. All my vacation days are currently being used.
This past weekend was absolutley wonderful. I got to relax a lot and spend time with Tim, which was good. I worked a bit this weekend as well. Overall really relaxing.
Wont have that for a few weeks so, enjoyed it while i could. Okies, that's all from me for now:)

Well there's been a lot happening this week. Today, I found out that the child of a professor here at school died last night in her sleep. She was 6. What was difficult to take is that for the past 5 years, she has grown up here. I really feel for the family. He mother lost her twin during the pregnancy and now this. They are not sure what happened. One thing we do know is that she attended one of the schools in the area which had been shut down four times this school year for making kids sick. They are not sure yet if this is related. The community took it really difficult, and I am still in a state of shock. The little girl that we all grew to know and love will be here no longer. I just pray for her family and that God holds us all strong and comforts during this time. Im so ready for the weekend. Working my way backwards.... the quarter is coming to a close and I am still behind. Slowly working my way to being done. I put my two weeks notice in at From the Heart on Monday. I need to for sanity purposes. What will be nice about it is that I will actually get a summer. I will be off by 3 on Friday and with the exception of two weekends, I will be free. This past Sunday, Michael and I decided to go from dating, to being friends. There's just a lot going on that I can't explain but I truly feel that this is for the best. We both went into this relationship looking for a good friend and nothing more, and thats how we came out of it. Admittedly it was one of the healthier relaionships I have been in, but in order for me to remain healthy, It needed to be done.
Well , like I said, I am excited for the weekend. My friend Tim is coming up from the Tacoma/Ft. Lewis area. Not sure what the gameplan is yet, but I've never been one for planned iteneraries (spelled wrong) lol. There are only about 4 people that I've met online that are worth talking to, and he is definatly one of them :)
I found out that my good friend of about 8 years,from Alaska, will be coming through Seattle on June 5th. He will be bringing his 6 year old son with him for about three hours on their way to Massachusets.
Other than that not much else happening. Well, I'm sure there is but I'm still in too much shock to figure it out.

Okay, well a post didn't go up last night, but hey, now is good too right?? I was really tired last night, and while I didn't go to bed early, I didn't feel like doing much. On Tuesday night, I ended up meeting up with my friend Joel and we spent the evening hanging out. A little at my place, Red Robin, house hunting ( just looking in Issaquah at the size of some of thse houses was amazing!), and then at at a bar in Issaquah (can't remember the name off the top of my head). It was really late by the time we got done with everything so, he ended up crashing on my floor. We didn't get to sleep until 4:30 or 5 in the morning, so I wasn't able to get much sleep. We ended up keepin Laura (my neighbor up too! I talked to her though. She wasn't mad at us because she could tell that we were trying to be quiet. She was more upset with her other neighbor, who was having his wife visit from a foriegn country. Apparently she called home to check on the kids, but because she lives so far away, and the connection was bad, she was practically shouting. I was able to hear them in my room. Laura said had it not been for them, she would have been able to sleep through Joel and I talking.....lol. Ah Well, such is life sometimes. Well, tongiht is Star Wars! YAY! I'll have to be waiting in line tongiht. ugh. Never had to do that for a movie before but, there's a first time for everything, right?
Okay, well thats enough for me.

I want a way to do comments!!! Gir! This is annoying. Ah well. Maybe I'll upgrade to BloggerPro or something and then have that as a possibility.
Today was back to business as usual. I attended classes and work today as well as bargained with two of the three professors that I need to. All will be done in due time im sure. Michael is out with Holly and Ryan at the Baltic Room. I was gonna go but, I decided that it was probably a good idea not to push things. Im feeling better now but im not Superwoman! I'm taking it easy.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe people are so pissy over a QFC Advantage Card . It's a card people! They're not gonna use it to stalk and kill you sheesh! Get over it! There's been a lot more tracking our whereabouts and purchases than QFC. This is childs' play! We had this in Anchorage before Safeway had their club card. There was no way to link to specific purchases. The company just wanted to see what sold more and you could be entered for really neat contests. Heck! I earned quite a few airline miles. Well, that's my two cents. I'll shut up now.

Well today is ther first day I’ve been upright in almost a week. It started on Monday when I had to go to the ER to have a test for menengitis. The test for that is a spinal tap. Luckily that test was negative. Howver, I did not recover well from this at all. By Wednesday, I could barley walk becuae my head hurt so bad. So back to the ER I went. The spinal fluid was still leaking because of the lack of healing and this was causing headaches. They decided to do an epidural blood patch to help with healing. On Thursday I was still not any better so my friends called the paramedics and had me taken back to the ER. The doctor there said that it was too soon to do another blood patch, so he gave me medication and sent me home. Now It’s Sunday, and im finally up again. YAY! I will be calling my regualr doctor tomorrow and schedule a follow up appointment.
Seeing as how it was such a sunny day, Michael and I decided to walk up to Broadway and wander around. We returned some movies and then went to Laughing Buddha so that I could get some new tongue jewelry. I also placed a peice on order. YAY! :):) Its Rainbow. Im exicted!We then came home and I took a nap while Michael did laundry.
Tonihgt was a nice night and we decided to go see The Sweetest Thing. It was a cute film but, nothing to write home about. On our way home we went to Barnes and Noble and bought a couple of books. We also ran into his friend Holly and she invited us out to The Baltic Room tomorrow night. That should be fun.
After returning home, I called my mom to wish her a Happy Mothers Day and she also wanted to see how I was doing. Everyone back home is doing well. My grandparents are moving from upstate New York to South Carolina. Apparently the winters of New York are too rough on them which I believe. That’s part of why im here. Well that and school. Speaking of school, I’ve got a ton of catching up to do. Ugh. I’ll be spending the next week bargaining with my professors! LOL!
